מרכז דוד לופאטי לרפואה השוואתית
מכון ויצמן למדע, רחובות
הבניין המתוכנן לאכלס פונקציות מעבדתיות
מגוונות, חללי מחקר, מרכז דימות, וכן מערכות
תמך ושירות רובוטיות חדשניות. המרכז ממוקם
באזור הצפוני של מכון ויצמן וניבט אל תחנת
הרכבת של רחובות ומבני ההייטק הצמודים.
הפרוגרמה הכתיבה חזית סימבולית המשקפת
את תכלית המבנה, תוך שיוכו לקומפלקס מבני
המחקר של מכון ויצמן.
"גוף צף" בחלל האטריום משמש כחדר סמינריונים
מרכזי, ולידו - אזורי ישיבה המשמשים לסיעור
מוחות.

THE DAVID LOPATIE INSTITUTE OF
COMPARATIVE MEDICINE -
WEIZMANN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE
The building is designed to host various
laboratory functions, unique research
spaces, imaging and state of the art robotics
based support systems.
Located at the northern side of the
Weizmann institute of science, the building
overlooks the Rehuvot Train Station and
HI-
TECH
park.
The design requirements specified the
need for a complex and unique architectural
solution while simultaneously creating
symbolic facades implying its scientific
content, yet harmoniously situated within
the existing campus.
An inspiring "floating bubble" in the atrium
consists of a seminar hall alongside seating
areas enabling spaces for interaction and
brainstorming.
