oberberg, Styria, Austria, 2012
A modern extension to the timber country
structure, previously serving as a wine cellar.
Combining several structures, the new
extension defines a two-story living area that
opens onto a “floating terrace” overlooking
the surrounding vineyards. Both buildings
become one functional unit via a cubic glass
living room situated between them.
This connecting element also serves as the
main entrance to the building.
