Kolo Pop Up Sauna, Hong Kong, 2017
Kolo means hole or cavity. The simple wooden box with a
carved amorphous interior is a contemporary interpretation
of a traditional sauna. It enables random encounters
between sauna users, who can enjoy sitting together and
sharing a calm moment in the hectic city. Consisting of
logs piled on top of each other, the simple structure can be
dismantled and rebuilt elsewhere.
