A house for accumulating collections, the
heritage domain will facilitate documentation
and research concerning art works and
objects of Jews and communities who
perished during the Holocaust.
Numbering over 10,000 art works and
30,000 personal objects, the collection will
enable in-depth research at Yad Vashem.
Following a competition, the new complex
enhances the distinguishing typology of
Yad Vashem through a three-dimensional
composition, growing out of a sunken
courtyard, above which is a minimalist
pavilion serving as a gate to the site.
