The first in a series of low-rise office buildings in

Mexico City, “Threads” serves as headquarters

for the South American French wine company

Pernod Ricard.

The beauty spot of the rectangular structure is

the symbolic image of a bottle made out of 272

aluminum fins, which create a visual experience

that varies according to the hours of the day,

both inside and outside the building. The

computer-designed fins shade the transparent

screen walls, creating carved balconies, yet

maintaining a visual cleanliness by locating the

elevator and services in the back facades.

Kristofer Leese, Cory Taylor,
