House in Rishon Lezion
The plot on a corner of a cul-de-sac allowed semitransparent dynamic facades, without threatening the
privacy of the tenants, whose wish was to create a “a unique and different house”. Made of irregular struts
the aluminium lattice provides a play of light and shade, producing a visible / invisible interface between the
structure and its surroundings.
The sloping topography was utilized to plan stairs made of floating concrete slabs in an asymmetrical
composition that echoes the random lines of the aluminium lattice.
At the request of the owners, the plan was based on many hosting areas while a connection between public
and private space waits to be unveiled. Within that are hidden doors embedded in the walls and a staircase
leading to a bridge that divides the children's rooms from the master bedroom.
