Art Center in Kangasala, 2015
Adjacent to the historical church and city
library, the Art Center completes the civic
compound of the small city founded in 1885,
about which poet Zachery Topelius wrote
his well-known poem “A Summer’s Day in
Kangasala”.
Built above the city’s parking structure, the
building houses the municipality chamber and
offices, a multi-purpose auditorium, and an art
gallery that includes a permanent exhibition by
artist Kimmo Pyykkö.
