2025 אוגוסט 142 אדריכלות ישראלית MAD אורח העונה - 85 | | | Fenix Museum, Rotterdam, Netherlands Located in Rotterdam's historic port district, a century-old warehouse has been transformed into a museum of migration, reflecting the journeys of millions from 170 nationalities who departed from their own homeland to the city. The design preserved the rugged structure of the original building, enabling a growing collection of art and artifacts, and is presented in an open layout, where visitors become part of the experience. The dramatic architectural intervention is prominent at the building center while a spiral staircase, reminiscent a Tornado rises 30 meters through an opening in the roof, leading to a rooftop observation platform that offers panoramic views over the river and city. A ground-floor Civic Square is open to the community year-round, hosting cultural programs, culinary events and performances.
