The memory of his struggle and pain probably led me to become a creator from the age of 11, trying to paint life with joyful, more optimistic colors. It started with murals on the gray concrete walls of my neighborhood, a special bench I built for friends in my building, watches made of old gear parts, and even secret caricatures of teachers I didn’t like. After my army service, I traveled in South America for a year. When I returned, it seemed natural to enroll in the Avni Institute of Art and Design. After five years of studies, I opened my own studio in the Florentine quarter of Tel Aviv (1999), and since then I've been creating and exhibiting in solo and group shows in a wide range of fields and projects." Rachel awards and competitions Kimmel Eshkolot Architects, founded about forty years ago by architects Prof. Eitan Kimmel and Michal Eshkolot, has won the Landau Prize for Arts from the Mifal HaPais Council for the Arts. Among its notable projects are the Memorial Hall at Mount Herzl, the Tower of David Museum renovation, Beit HaLochem in Beer Sheva, and the Davidson Center in Jerusalem.
