Accordingly, the four-story cubic building was positioned between two levels, adapted to the site’s sloping topography. While the floor level below the main entrance contains all the public functions, the higher, classroom wing is accessed via a bridge, as in a fortified medieval castle. At its center is a large seating tribune with a large skylight that can be opened for ventilation during the summer. Staircases clad in wood-tone panels give the space a sculptural quality, softening the boundary between classrooms and auxiliary areas for activity, learning, and informal interaction.
