Apartments of the Season אדריכלות ישראלית Architecture of Israel #131 November 2022 | | 70 Lena Gordina was born, studied and worked as an architect in Moscow. Graduating from the Architectural Institute of Moscow, she worked at one of the famous architecture firms in Moscow, where she specialized in interior architecture. In 2001 she opened her independent office in Moscow, where she was mainly engaged in interior architecture, research and writing about the rational principles of modern apartment design. As a Jew, Lena Gordina dreamed of immigrating to Israel since her childhood, but family circumstances prevented her from doing so. Her brother lives in Ukraine, and with the outbreak of the war, she felt it was time to make Aliya. Impressed by the spectacular landscape and unique nature of the North she experienced on previous visits, after arriving in Israel, with her laptop and documents, she received Israeli citizenship and decided to settle in Haifa. Equipped with her long professional experience, she contacted us and, being impressed by her work, we decided to publish coverage of two apartments she recently designed in Russia.
