Visitors’ Center, National Heritage Site,
Ein Keshatot, Golan Heights, 2018
Emphasizing the vertical work in section (as opposed
to horizontal work in plan), the design creates a
transparent façade overlooking the Sea of Galilee
on one hand, while on the other hand – an entrance
facade sunk into the topography. A row of columns
made of basalt rocks is incorporated into the concrete
construction along the visiting route, which ends in a
lecture hall opening onto the fascinating landscape. The
460 sq.m. building includes a cafeteria, lecture hall and
protected space.
