which can easily bring one to the village
after a walk of an hour or two.
The idea of using colors to promote
tourism is not new; colorful places
around the world express something
earthy, especially in poor locations where
residents look for means of cheap and
accessible self-expression – like in India,
Africa, Morocco or South America.
However, one should note that first
come the colors, and only then come the
tourists.
In the framework of this project, the literal
meaning of the village’s name helps: Jisr
is bridge in Arabic, and Zarqa is blue.
