אדריכלות ישראלית - גיליון 132

House of the Season אדריכלות ישראלית Architecture of Israel #132 February 2023 | | 46 house of the season rephrased house in katsir Shira Shenton Two young architects - Michal and Shimri Tousson purchased a house in Katsir on the Amir Ridge overlooking Wadi Ara. Begging for renovation, the home offered a fine chance for the young firm to experiment, expressing their skills in a massive renovation through a curiosity-evoking spacial reorganization while confined to a limited budget. Today they live at home with their three daughters - breathing and loving what they've created. Located between an open public space and an unbuilt plot, the house has a "stolen" entrance, turning to the scenery in addition to the main entrance facing the street. A number of walls were taken down to allow space to flow in the living area, the center of which is a kitchen with five seats forming an active separation between the living room and the dining corner. One gradually discovers interesting space-exploitation in several corners of the house, the most intriguing of which is a wooden "hive" under the staircase, which includes a hidden den for the three girls, who call it "the secret camp". Michal's artwork and various wooden touches, such as a deck facing the outside landscape and cladding and shelves (including in the parents' bathroom) give the house a refreshing contemporary look on one hand, and satisfying rural warmth tailored to the inhabitants’ way of life in the rural area on the other. בית משוכתב בקציר מרחב המגורים הפתוח מוגדר באמצעות הריהוט הפונקציונלי המעניק לבית ציביון כפרי. הגר דופלט. צילום: Renovated house in Katsir The living area.
