2022 פברואר 128 אורחי העונה - סנוהטה נורבגיה אדריכלות ישראלית 45 | | Jakob Weidemann Gallery at the Lillehammer Museum of Art Twenty-two years after the completion of the first expansion of the Lillehammer Museum of Art (1994), Snøhetta has once again updated the complex, based on Norwegian artist Bård Breivik’s idea. Originally designed in 1964 by Arling Vixju, the museum was updated in 1994, adding to it a new building designed to move the complex into the 21st century. In 2016 another extension was planned by Snøhetta in order to connect the two buildings through a new showroom, two screening halls, and an interior renovation of the Lillehammer cinema, with an art garden in between them, in collaboration with artist Bård Breivik. Dedicated to the works of artist Jacob Weidemann, the stainless steel brushed mantle that changes its appearance according to the changes of light, simulates a falling star, illustrating Weidemann's contribution to Norwegian painting.
