Students The 2021 winners of the David Azrieli Award for Students of Architecture are: First place - Mai Whiteson from Tel Aviv University, for her work 'The Next Mill'; second place went to Sarah Eden and Yuval Yadlin from Bezalel for their 'A Mount Leads a Valley'; and third place went to the project 'A-Formalization Process' by Asma Abu-ria from the Technion, which proposed a new planning paradigm of compromising between the informal construction in the Negev and the planned formal solutions. Organized by Liebling Haus - White City Centre, the aim of the competition is to find creative solutions that may provide an answer to the housing crisis and the cost of living, while making an ideological contribution to the heritage of the city of Tel Aviv and its architectural values. Total prizes to be awarded to the winning entries: NIS 100,000. An exhibition of the selected works will be held at the end of the competition at Liebling Haus, and will be accompanied by a catalog and an international conference. A conceptual competition for the design of a community center on Lake Mývatn, has been announced by the Municipality of Skútustaðahreppur, Iceland. The Ramat Gan Municipality and the Association of Architects have announced a competition to design the Municipality Square complex. Deadline for submission at the Association's offices: 31/3/22 at 15:00. An conceptual competition to design the 'Last Nuclear Bomb Monument' was announced by the Bee Breeders Organization. First place went to Farchi-Zafrir Architects, with the participation of architects Doron Zafrir, Noam Farchi, Tal Ashkenazi, Igor Vasyliev, and German Grasenkov. Second placewent to architects Danielle Strasburger and Hagai Ben Naim. And in third place - Studio Sabra - architects Gabriel and Rotem Shweka. In total, 15 entries were submitted. Events & Exhibitions Perspective 2021 - a group photo exhibition at the Tau Cultural Center in Herzliya, deals with the story of the public space as expressed by 31 photographers.
