אדריכלות ישראלית - גיליון 127
guest of the season - Fran Silvestre אדריכלות ישראלית Architecture of Israel # 127 November 2021 | | 26 Fran Silvestre is a Spanish architect who lives and works in Valencia. After graduating in Architecture with honors at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valencia in 2001, he specialized in 2002 in urban planning at Eindhoven University of Technology . His poetic, clear, yet extremely formal architecture, arises from his three main sources of inspiration: his collaboration with MVRDV during his time in The Netherlands; his time at Alvaro Siza's office, with whom he collaborated in several projects after opening his own firm; and his academic career, both as a professor of architecture at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and later at the Universidad Europea, and his time at Polytechnical University of Valencia, where he earned his doctorate. Each of his houses is grasped as an answer to an academic issue, such as, modulation, serialization or light, each has a story behind it, and accordingly, each is awarded a poetic name. Since the foundation of his own firm, Silvestre has focused on development and implementation of small-scale projects, as well as multidisciplinary work. Jointly with the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and the Technological Institute of Energy in Valencia, the firm recently developed the Eólica Wind Tower, which is conceived as a vertical element, self- powering, without need to access external sources. guest of the season fran silvestre arquitectos, valencia spain Bonnie Evans פראן סילבסטרה ואלוואר סיזה במהלך לימודיו לתואר השני.
