The first phase focused on accessing a number of observation points that include hiking paths and shaded sitting corners, parking lots, and hiking trails from which travelers can view the quarry pits that have been filled with groundwater. All threaded together by a 7 km. long axis, with connected pedestrian and bicycle hiking trails. Top: Pergola near the stove, a reminder of the previous industrial activity.
