Interiors renovated neptune hotel, eilat Neptune Hotel, one of the oldest in Eilat, has recently undergone massive renovation at the cost of 50 million NIS. Owned by the Rimonim hotel chain, Neptune is located on the north shore, near the stall-laden promenade which in recent years has become the main tourist attraction in town. The work was aimed at updating the rather massive, old-fashioned hotel - giving it a contemporary freshness. The design is based on an abstract interpretation of the theme of the conch. Light furniture and colorful Led illumination emphasize the amorphous contours, generating a recreational atmosphere and highlighting the beauty-mark at the entrance - a lit-up reception desk made of sea-colored quartz stones. Other focal points are the bar in the lobby, designed as a ship-deck with an old-wood-like finish; membranes stretched out over parts of the pool to improve shading, lending it the touch of a marina; and guest rooms designed in cool gray hues and clean lines, conveying an ascetic atmosphere. On the operational level, however, updating has not yet been achieved, particularly due to structural constraints stemming from old-fashioned planning carried out in the 70s and 80s. This is mainly manifested in a disrupted accessibility and movement system between and within the two structures of the hotel and their various levels, with too few elevators in its extreme. The service and food, however, are commendable. Design: Impact - architect Michal Rom, Shula Werner. |
