Positioning the bar and reception
counter at a non-conventional angle of 18 degrees was intended to create
interest in the otherwise conventional space. And, in
fact, it has affected all the components of the club - the dance floor, the
trapeze bar and the open gallery above it. The computerized light-show
includes the bottle-display above the bar, a laser sprinkler above the entrance
area, and light circles that glimmer at a rhythm dictated by sensors placed at
the dance floor edge. Other design details are epoxy flooring, mirror covered
metal beams, and springy saddle seats. All participate in a multi-sensational
event, larger than the space in which they are enclosed.
