1. Apartment in a Renovated
Building on Rothschild Boulevard,
Tel Aviv
The
concept is based on the reorganization of the apartment with two spinal
brick-finish walls, intersected by partition walls. While the brick walls hold
symbolic meaning, reminiscent of the bricked-up fortified entrances to Tel
Aviv buildings during
the War of Independence, the partition walls serve a more functional purpose.
The
cast-in-place floor tiles, floor-to-ceiling doors and partition walls that
penetrate the rooms grants the feeling of a flexible, continuous space, which
will enable future adaptation to the young familys changing needs.

2. Ground Floor on Frug Street,
Tel Aviv
In
this small apartment the floor has been lowered to grant a feeling of
spaciousness. Here, a double-sided cupboard acts as a partition wall between
the three bedrooms and the living area.
The
curvilinear geometry of the partition wall makes it appear longer and the space
larger. The epoxy finish, cast-concrete floor and the glass partition which
allows a peek at the master bedroom, represent an achievement on a limited
renovation budget.

Pardo.
